Excellent. I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this is Guthrie-esque (and Woody is one of my all time favourite song-writers).

Me too. One of the songs I learned in grade school was his This Land Is Your Land. I am surprised they would even teach us any Woody Guthrie songs now that I know about his politics.

That is probably true. I don't remember Woody Guthrie's name being mentioned at all in connection with the song.
