Santiago Dreaming

Have been a fan of Mike for 40 years. Saw The Jackson 5 at the State Fair when I was 4. Whatever demons he battled, I hope we will all let him rest in peace. Even with his flaws he changed the (my) world. And, yes, when I saw how he 'modified' his body, I learned to live with myself a bit better

Gravatar Yes, I was also shocked when I read about his death and thought of little Michael and the J5, young Michael and Thriller, and "Wacko Jacko."

We all have demons and can either banish them, struggle with them all our life or let them kill us. With his mind fogged by anorexia and drugs Michael Jackson let his kill him.

As for him resting in peace, how can he not be? His hell was here on earth.

Gravatar I'm sorry that Michael got so screwed up and became very weird, but I will never forget him holding his baby over that hotel balcony. And having to pay for suspected child abuse. Whether he was a pedophile or not, sleeping with little boys was wrong. Of course, the parents of those children are more to blame, but the poor kids are the ones to be scarred by that experience.

As for the idiotic Republicans who gave Roberts and Alito a pass, they couldn't find anything wrong with her record so they had to harp endlessly on that 'Latina woman' speech.

Gravatar Darlene- I agree on all points.

As for Michael Jackson, people who create their own hell on earth always hurt others. I'm not overlooking the things he did, I'm just saying there were extenuating circumstances. I think the people around him share a larger part of the blame. They all put their own interests ahead of everyone else, including Michael Jackson and every child scared by this mess.

As for the Republication Senators, no big surprise there, eh?
