Thank you, Colleen. This development is not that surprising considering her age. We already knew she was almost at the end of her life span. We as human beings have a hard time letting go of the ones we love so I know that I will mourn Kate when she does leave us but I also know that grief is a small price to pay for what she has given us in return.

Oh, honey, I'm so sorry that Kate is not well. I know you love her and it makes me feel so sad for all of you. I send her lots of blessings and love. I'm so glad she has you to love her and hold her in your heart. You are the best lover of her there is. She knows this and that in itself gives me comfort and happiness for you all. Suffering's only dividend I know is an increased sense of compassion and appreciation. This are very tender days indeed.

Ah, so sad. I lost my older dog Roxie to cancer this year. At least she was active and happy until her last day.

donna, I remember when your beautiful Roxie died so I know you understand how we are feeling. We knew this was coming but still... She is doing great right now and her appetite has come back. Good to see her happy face again.
