Chris, Ain't gonna be no media-bashing of a prez until a Democrat gets in there. Then you'll see some attack dogs in the press.
Watching H&C last night and they had Oliver North on. I agree with him. No president gives any kind of speech without it being political. With the way the media's been bashing him over the past month or so, I'm glad he came out the way he did.

There may be some facts within the Bush account, but one wonders how much truth, when some of the 'facts' he has offered before were mighty dubious. He even got the name of the target building wrong, this time. I think the whole episode indicates that al Qaeda is succeeding in their tactic of flooding our intelligence agencies with stories about a million possible plots. If Bush believes what he is saying, then we're in more danger than I thought.

What are you guys saying? That President Bush is making this stuff up? I may have my problems with the domestic surveillance program but I’m glad to hear that we prevented an attack. So what if his point wasn’t subtle.

Let me get this straight ... you seem to be implying in this post that the claim that the warantless wiretaps prevented an attack is predictable political theater?
I read the post three times looking for ways that it's actually ironic and defends Bush. I can't see it. If you're seeing Bush as a showman -- honestly Greta, what has gotten into you?!
