Thanx for the gr8 post, i wasn't even aware that this issue was under discussion. Anyways i just wanted to say that the most annoying response was the following:
This idea is against the rules and traditions of society
I am so sick and tired of everybody in this country just talking about rules and traditions... We r never gonna evolve from our 15th century lives until we decide to give our brains a chance to think and make their own decision....
Also i wanted to second an important point u mentioned in ur post: we do not give other ppl a chance to make their own decisions and I believe this a major problem facing our society... We have no respect whatsoever for other ppl freedom...
Anyways thanks for bringing this important issue into the discussion

Abolish the draft thing!!! I still can't forget the hell I went through while trying to know my military status..LOL I think the government still holds on to the military thing so that they decrease the number of youth screaming for jobs. lol

BP: I am sure an enormous number of people would want to work as soldiers in the army and police IF they had a good salary and a good working environment (especially in the police). They wouldn't need the draft then! You know, Every time I see hundreds of police soldiers standing still on both sides of the road when a big ass is passing by, I remember one thing: slavery.
