I´m living in sweden, and the "Feminist Initiative" as the new political movementis called(It ´s not a party) although they will participate in the parliamentary elections next year. They have three spokespersons, one of them is the high profile former leader of the Leftist party(former Communist party) and another one is a young Swedish woman, second generation emigrant from Turkey, with no prior experience in party politics.
What they mean by the marriage being about ownership is the fact that it is related to money. They want this contract to be the same, regardless of sex. The FI will not claim 20 % of the vote, they will probably enter the parliament(you need 4 %), but i doubt that they will recive more than Ayman Nour.

Hey, thanks for the insight. I didn't expect to hear from someone in Sweden about this.

Well, not everyone in Sweden follow the egyptian blogscene as closely as i do. Thanks for a great blog, i really liked your piece on Nu´man Gouma being foul-mouthed.

Gravatar Women are the weaker sex and need to be protected. In any company, there is a controlling share, likewise in a family (marriage between man and woman), the man holds the controlling share.
