Freedom is a slow and difficult process. It requires time and considerable sacrifice and some people have to suffer for it to occur. The fact that there are Egyptian bloggers and people reading your words should be encouraging and inspiring. The fact that Egyptian bloggers have organized an effort to get people to vote is a great step forward. Freedom is like a good cake that must be eaten very slowly, but once a bite is taken, it can never be taken away. You want the process to go faster, but that will not happen. I am an American. Even in this great nation of Democracy, 50 years ago many Black people were not allowed to vote. They were made to ride in the back of buses and could not sit with White people. The freedom you want and deserve cannot happen in 5 years or 10 years or 15 years. You can only have freedom by truly believing that your children will have more freedom than you. That and that alone will keep you on track and keep you working towards the goals many of which you will not accomplish in your lifetime. I pray for you and your nation.
