Ekh. This goes to the heart of the matter, too, Junior seems to want to have comity with the racists. It's as if he doesn't know racism when he sees it.
I still haven't seen a good explanation of what he was talking about with his blog on Huffington Post. David Bander had a go at it, but I am not convinced.
Well, I think Pesk has pretty much summed it up. And, 'Crat, I would only add that that indecipherable muck he said on the Huffington Post must have been a sop to those who were scandalized by the "politics" of he funeral. ("Hey, we shouldn't really FABRICATE anything about this lady. That's ungentlemanly, and the PRESIDENT is here! Let's just call her a nice lady and leave it at that.") God knows why he chose such a venue for such a rubbishy remark.
Oh, and CPL, I love your Christianity and your readiness to forgive. Really. The Savior would be pleased. I'd like to believe you were right in your first reaction to the Imus stuff, but I doubt it.
