I saved that link too, but you've got it covered. Better late than never on these epiphanies, but where were their brains at the beginning?

I remember writing Bush Sr. a letter telling him I thought he would be impeachable if he went to Gulf War I without a Congressional authorization. I think I wrote my college-era friend and Senator Al Gore about voting against that conflict and then watched as he "agonizingly" covered his political future by voting for it. Now he's against such. Great. I wrote Al again when Clinton and he came out early in their tenure against even studying legalizing reefer, reminding Al he wouldn't be where he was if he had gotten caught using it.

We have to welcome these repentants to stop the bleeding, but in the course of my life, it's been a fucking drag waiting for the dumbasses to catch on.
