(Sigh!) 'Crat, all this is well and good, but you definitely need to broaden the pattern of your reading. You're not reading the Flyer's coverage by the B & B boys (one of whom is your frat brother). Try this. Or this. Or just go the Flyer website's Politics Beat (right-hand column), link yourself in, and start scrolling down.

Ooops! I missed one of your links (to a certain local treasure chest of fine and enobbling literature). Er uh,...well, as I was saying, you are a well-read individual of surprising and diverse compass. Very good, old man! Very good indeed.

Coleman Garrett is clueless. The only reason I can see for the change is that he knew someone would like and it would be suborning perjury and an ethics violation. The other answer is Roscoe hired an idiot.
Where did Garrett come from the firm of Dowe Cheatthem and Howe?????
Usually high profile african americans hire Walter Bailey or
It just goes to show you that TV is Gospel! One should hire the lawyers on TV: Garry Green, Cory B Trots or one of Gatti Keltner Benvineu Monteisi.
Better than that hire one of the Sabbatini brothers, theyve pulled many a son/daughter of a politico out of the fire in the courts.
Even Ruby Wilson knows best, Jimmy McElroy is the man to win the case!

Yusuf: Walter Bailey was Dixon's original attorney until the proscutor discovered that Jay Bailey, Walter's son and law partner, had previously represented Tim Willis.
Kibitzer, I wish you could have seen the array of articles I was reading to try and answer these questions. I had to open three browsers to fit all the tabs, and the articles spanned the entire last year.
And yes, I digested the Flyer's coverage very carefully. Reading and re-reading the great reports you and JB (the other JB) wrote, shortened the legnth of this post considerably. And yes, I re-read some of them just for fun.
My question for you directly is this: is it a safe guess that there are no more shoes waiting to drop? Barry Myers' claims don't fit well with the fact that the indictment for John Ford doesn't metion him at all.
If Myers was indeed a bagman for everyone he said he was, then he's not much of one: the FBI apparently cut him right out of the game when they went after John Ford.
Did I miss something?

Garrett was trying every cheap trick in the book, which argues he realised he didn't have a legal or evidential leg to stand on.
Was Garrett with Dixon and the process server in Nashville? If not, that argues Garrett knew it was an ethically suspicious practice he wanted no part of. My guess is Dixon was sending shots across the bow of his former colleagues; a reminder of what they, too, might face if he was left hung out to dry.
If he's found guilty, watch for Dixon to threaten to write a tell-all book. Former City Council aide Williams and former County Mayoral aide Jones both did that to try to get some intervention on their behalfs.

Autoegograt, There is always another shoe to drop in Tennessee politics. SOmeone will get muddied in all of this from their own greed.
As far as John Ford, I'm sure there are dots on his back where only the ten foot pole touched him. I can't imagine any african american bag man wanting to go set up a ford. Plus (like at Save-A-Lot), John does his own bagging!!!!!!
My guess is that the Greedy-fickle-finger will point out others both local and statewide politicos.
btw, wh was the major babe that would walk with Roscoe and Garrett (maybe a Garrett assistant) She was young and tall!!
If Roscoe had something to tell, he missed his chance! a tell all book that doesn't include squeeling (like a pig) in court is stupid.

Mike, there is no reporting anywhere that puts Garrett with Dixon in Nashville. I was a bit shocked at how few details I could find on that little episode.
Early reports suggested that many subpoenas had been issued, but i only ever found three names. The coverage just sort of quietly died down.

‘Crat, I’m just now catching up with your very astute questions, and I’m going to try to re-post my earlier answer, which got eaten by Blogger or some other gremlin. Yes, Roscoe has from now until September 8 to decide how he wants to spend the next several years, and it’s entirely likely that he’ll do what Barry Myers did before him – i.e., turn government witness and throw the feds some of the red meat (i.e., evidence about friends and colleagues) that could result in a significantly reduced sentence. He could show up in many a trial down the line – including one or two for people who haven’t yet been indicted. (Some important names were mentioned during his trial, a couple of them in quite incriminating ways.)

Good points, Kibby. Throwing Ford the Lesser's name in there just had to piss off the Ford camp. My guess is that Dixon will now be used to nail down Bowers.
I found interesting Garrett's post-trial comment about the subpeoned witnesses: that he didn't want to drag character witnessees "kicking and screaming" into court. ?!?!?!?! Apparently Dixon is radioactive now. And some folks don't want to have their comments on a trial transcript for later dissection.
I'll repeat this: Watch for Dixon to claim to have written a "tell all" book very, very soon. Like before his sentencing date.

here you just need to spend 100-200 dollars to buy a replica rolex watches.
Cartier replica watches are made by the rating 1:1 according to the original watches, and you can't distinguish the original and the fake watches when you look at the surface of the watches.
