Tinker is very Rovian in her non-denial denial of Brooks' action, IMO.

I've seen the flyer in question, and I think it's the first occurrence in history of a political pamphlet made to make someone appear more white. I am, of course, talking about the one with Black Jesus alongside a glow-in-the-dark white Cohen.
If you can get scans you really should post them online. Classic stuff, especially the one where he opens with "this is not anti-Semetic" before launching into chapter and verse "Jews hate Jesus" anti-Semitism.
Is focusing on the Murfreesboro guy just a way for you to avoid the colossal amount pandering that Cohen engineered with that apology Tuesday?
Also, since I'm on a roll here, isn't the sarcasm within your "post-racial" hypocritical since Cohen is clearly playing the race card with that apology regardless of how overdue it may or may not be?
OneTwo actually I'm fairly explicit that Cohen's gesture is purely symbolic and that there's nothing post racial about the election from either side. I don't know that he's pandering per se though I'll admit he's taking political advantage of historical race relations. But so have many other black and white politicians so I'm not sure what the point is. It's what politicians do. But for the sake of good conversation let's say it's just plain ol' pandering. There's still no comparing that to Brooks borderline hatespeech.
Brooks' flyers aren't borderline hate speech. They're outright bigotry, period. Whatever, it's my belief they serve no purpose except to make Brooks look like what he is: a bigoted fool. The only good thing about this is he isn't from Memphis.
