I hate to be the one to say it, but the majority of elected Democrats just don't give a hot damn what we think. They don't care about the Constitution, they don't care about having a decent society, and they don't care about keeping the world safe. The only way to get a Democrat to act right is to stick your hand up his ass and move his lips yourself. That's the reality.
I'm tired of playing nice with these people. If we have to force their hands, we damn well better make it hurt.
I don't think it's true that they don't care. I don't always think they understand--- and that''s different. There is a real belief that there are things they can do to "unite." Of course, obviously, to unite one must lead bravely--- that's the part they miss, blinded by the sparkle of capitulation.
Well, Jeff, it's really simple if you think about it. The reason they can't...... The don't want to..... ok, I don't get it either.
Maybe I should call up my "friend" in MO who kept shouting "up or down vote" on the Supreme Court nominations....
A person who cares will make the effort to understand. After a while, they ought to be able to observe that their hankering to "unite" and create bipartisanship where none exists gets them the opposite of what they intended.
I just have a hard time believing that over half of Congress is really that blind, or that stupid. It seems more likely that they have ulterior motives, and that they only pay lip service to Democratic values.
I would be delighted to be shown that I am wrong.

Right Jeff, but there's still a big effing problem: the media narrative. If the Dems make with an F-Bomb they are obstructing. If they force the Republicans to drop an F-Bomb then the headline is "Dems obstruct, Force F-Bomb." Put a rat in a trap and shock it when it moves in any direction. See what happens.
