Gravatar I lurk at hotmail. Saw your comment that Crowley "caved."

He did not such thing. He stood his ground and made no apologies for his job. Plus he did a Q&A session, but Gates ran away while issuing a statement to the press.

Crowley did the right thing. I at first thought it was wrong for him to go because I fully understand the propaganda spin machine of Axelrod and crew, plus Obama is always "calibrating" his messages.

But, by going the extra mile to meet and greet, Crowley comes out the Stand up guy in all of this. He was succinct in answering questions. When asked if there were any apologies, he said, "No."

The weight of the world was on this mans shoulders and he stood up to the most powerful leader in the world. He stood up for police, for Cambridge and for civility by white people who are honorable and caring.

Gates OTOH left in shame without answering any questions. He would've been slaughtered by the media due to his "Racist" and "Momma" comments. Even if he had a real spine and wanted to say something, most surely Obama wanted him to go away for fear of saying something stupid.
