I think you are touching on something that I have mentioned on this blog before and that is the dire lack of information about the Minneapolis wireless deployment. At this time, I don't know of any "official" statement that the network is open in the DT area. I don't understand why US Internet and the City of Minneapolis doesn't want to give regular reports. I think it would help in getting buy-in and selling accounts even if some of the reports are about problems with the implementation. I get more information at W2i where Jim Farstad is "blogging."

i highly question the computer world artick and also the report on Kare11 that was based on the same information. I live on 12th and Nicollet and I still can't obtain service. To say that 1/4 of the city is operating is very much incorrect. . at least not for the citizens of minneapolis.
