Gravatar I'm going to have to strenuously disagree. I think the only thing the Mac Air offers is an expensive, easily breakable, slow laptop that is what - one pound lighter??

I could not imagine buying something that looks so brittle.

As for Apple TV Take 2 - you can have it =) I'll take the Series 3 TiVo which already does everything that Take 2 does but also records television programs.

If Amazon or TiVo had the marketing people Apple does, Jobs keynote would have been greeted with laughter =)

But then, I'm a fanboy for open architectures and I will forever hate Jobs for lying about DRM being imposed on them by the labels (smaller labels begged not to be sold with DRM but Apple told them to kiss off).

Gravatar "Mac Air...will set a new standard for computing which is something Apple does so well."

Let's not confuse computing with design now... There are a few cool elements of the computer part of the Mac Air, but we both know the design is the real winner there. Here's a link to a page that lines the Mac Air up against other slim laptops. In terms of hardware, features and price, the Mac Air didn't match up well against Dell... Jaguar vs. Vista/XP aside, what you're really paying for with the Air is the design (including the .5 inch thickness) which is very cool, don't get me wrong.

And I thought Mac TV died??? They made all that noise about upgrades for the 10 people who actually bought them? ;-)
