Gravatar Good stuff, Phil. Please excuse any self-congratulatory spin on my part, at my blog: I'd just ask you to keep in mind that in addition to "evangelizing," we're all also just trying to make a buck --- and at last count, Edelman had about $250M more bucks than SHIFT. I'm a scrapper, make no bones about it, and need to maintain whatever "edge" I can against the Super-Duper Intergalactic Agencies.

Anyway, I was truly, genuinely thrilled to see you guys "adopt" the format we proposed in our template, and the T'rati tag.

Specific to StoryCrafter:

If I am reading you right, I am surprised that this will be purely for Edelman clients. That's your prerogative, of course. Just a bit of a surprise.

As for the enhanced social aspects - I like your thinking but do need to know more about how you're planning to implement that bit...? Will Edelman clients be using StoryCrafter to post news to a blog (or blogs), vs. via newswires? Feeling a li'l clueless, still, sorry.

Lastly - Thanks for the answers here. Honestly, the release was not nearly as informative as this blog post of yours. Because there was not much to go on I (and others) may have made some assumptions that turn out wrong.

Wishing you luck,
Todd

Gravatar p.s. - Just noticed this... what? No linklove? You mention my name, quote me at length, and no linky-link? Can't we all just get along?

Gravatar Hah! Sorry about that! Link fixed (with unfortunate explanation) at the bottom of this post.

I'll hit the more important points when I've gotten out from under my morning. *8-)

Gravatar No worries.

Also, you probably saw my new post today. I won't be surprised if you don't care for it. I want you to know that despite my (mixed) feelings for "Edelman with a capital E," I respect all the hard work that you & your team clearly must have put into StoryCrafter.

Good luck with it - and thx for the linklove.

Gravatar A hosted environment in which to create news releases and other media-related content. Hmmm...sounds like an online mediaroom to me...or a good website with a flexible CMS...what's the big deal?

Gravatar Sorry you weren't wow'ed, Dee. *8-)

Then again, you aren't really the audience or market for this kind of thing.

Gravatar I'm not the market or audience because I'm not a client or potential client of Edelman's? You're also playing evangelist here Phil and I am a member of that peer group at least. Dismiss my "lack of wow" if you will but I think my commentary is relevant given the fact that I actively interact with hundreds of manager, director and VP-level corporate communicators on the exact topic of web-based PR efforts.
