Michael - if you mean the one about "anyone - DUMB enough - to want to join the military" then yes, I've heard it. Sort of complements Douglas Adams' dictum that anyone capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. The wisdom of both converges in George W Bush, who was more than dumb enough for the National Guard and was almost capable of getting himself made President.
