well, you could be in america where every child has already been reciting the "pledge of allegiance" every morning for decades (or, at least for decades preceding and including my time there in the 80s and early 90s). the u.s. is so patriotic that there was never debate over whether or not this should be done, even if, like me and my brother, you were actually not u.s. citizens. in fact, the only tiny blip was the "one nation, under god" part, to which the atheists objected, and who cares about them?
