Re: the ones that voted for Obama .... AND the ones that voted for McCain because of his more progressive stances on things like AGW and illegal immigrant amnesty. McCain definitely ran to the Left as far as people with a consistent small-government conservative philosophy are concerned.
Had McCain not nominated Palin, a lot more conservatives probably would have sat this one out.
