I don't think we'll be hearing much more from Palin until after her last day in office. Then she'll probably expound.
Wow, I dunno. She's definitely going to hit the circuit; there's crazy money to be made there, and things have deteriorated to the point where she's deficient in meeting her responsibilities if she doesn't go for it. To her family as well as to the state, financially and ethically.
But we saw from when she helped Chambliss to win, she can focus her spotlight without making a national broadcasting event out of what she's doing. Outside of those, I think she'll be very quiet until Black Friday 2011, and that's at the earliest. At that time, as is the case now, there will be passionate and outspoken critics on both sides of the "Is She A Moron?" debate. But the ankle-biters will have lost much of their fire in the belly, as well as much of their numbers. We'll be hearing next-to-nothing from her for years, and when those years are up there will be far less antipathy against her. What she's done here is exceptionally smart.
I'm about to violate my personal taboo against betting on things. History says, it takes a lot for me to do that, and the few times I do it I always win.
