it's impossible to know what she's thinking, not just because we can't read minds, but because she's not one of the political class, that is she hasn't spent every waking moment since 6th grade thinking about elected office.i believe in one of the debates for governor in 06 she said to one of her opponents "tony i see you reciting all of these numbers and facts and i'm amazed, but then i look at the audience and i wonder if any of it matters." i'm running on memory for this.thing is she may have been pushed to a corner and realized that the usual away of doing things 'may not matter'.
letterman wasn't joking , he hasn't done anything funny in years-kinda like a washed up Vegas lounge act.
