Is this the best the ACLU can do these days. It's kind of funny, isn't it? First the ACLU is against religion-specific holiday celebrations but they're for this?
I'm going with the court on this one. The required clothes are nothing more harmless than the equivalent of a school uniform and someone in the school system was smart enough to allow for some variation in style and colors.
Does the ACLU also think that the requirement for soldiers to wear a uniform is a freedom of religion issue? How about a kid who works after school at a fast food joint and has to wear chinos and the requisite company shirt?

Hi BCC,
Thanks for the comment. I should have noted that, from the info provided in the article, I agree with the court's holding as well.
I posted this news because the ACLU is so often demonized by the religious right. I thought it worthwhile to show that the ACLU sometimes works on their behalf as well.
I'll update the post.
Best wishes, Pigilito

There's a big difference between schools, jobs, and the military. We all are entitled and obliged to go to school. And yes, the ACLU has been involved in conflicts between the military's dress-code and the requirements of various religions.
