From my reading, (and your wife could possibly confirm) there are differences in the way men and women both experience pain and thier individual tolerance thresholds. but not in a way that would support this statement. women tend to have higher threshholds for long lasting pain than men, although men seem to have better tolerance for short term pain than women.

The suggestion was made tongue in cheek. There seem to be no studies/experiments which could directly support ID inferences from the Bible.
