OK, I have a few for you. They are all irritating for the same reason. I know absolutely NOTHING about football, and if a comment seemed obvious to me, it probably did not add anything to the announcing of the game.
1. He/they need to take it one game at a time. This is right up there with They need to focus. Thank you Captain Obvious. Paying attention is generally performance-enhancing whether you are driving a car, performing open heart surgery, or trying to win the SuperBowl.
2. They can't keep making mistakes/turnovers.... Again, if you are competing to win, it is probably not a great idea to keep screwing up.
3. It's decision time... when was the last time a team explicitly decided to lose?
