Well, I didn't think you had that much money but I figured it was worth a try! MP3 players can just as expensive!
My guess for today: A wireless FM transmitter.
I found a couple that look like a mouse so don't know if I should name brands or not!
Polli - YOU ARE A WINNER!!! Shaped like a mouse, it plugs into your laptop or CD player or iPod and plays the tunes anywhere you have speakers connected to an FM radio - in the house in the car, in the garden. Very relaxing, a good solution if you have (musical) taste or you don't like wires everywhere. It doesnt like the rain (being electrical it tends to fry when wet) and also rain can affect the signal. And it runs on batteries.
It is a surprisingly useful little gadget especially if you have some severely beefy stereo speakers and no way of connecting them to your laptop or iPod
Hope those clues and my responses to guesses were accurate. An radio FM transmitter is heading to your island.

Ed, I am so very happy. I'm going to use this thing a lot. I'm excited because I have a huge iTunes library and can now take my music outside but leave the laptop inside!

The transmitter is quite a good gadget, especially if there isnt a lot of local FM radio to interfere with the signal.
Cyn, I am as relieved as the next person that it is over now. Just need to think of another pisser of a contest. I have a germ of an idea.
