You're right on the button about Alexa, Technorati, Bloglines et al -- flawed measurement tools at best. At their worst, petty dictatorships doling out approval as long as you play their game.

You have the right attitude about this supposed hierarchy. Have you noticed that some of those A-list blogs are really crappy anyway?

I'm with you, show me the money and I'll write strictly by your protocal. Until then, I'll keep cranking out entries about things that make me go HMmmm and sleep easily at night without worries about whether my juice jar is half full or half empty.
