So, you've looked scrutinized the depths of Obama's soul and found... yourself: a rootless technocrat with a bent for institutional micropolitics. I guess all those critics who months ago complained that Obama was merely an all-things-to-all-men cipher were on to something.
I think we'll hear about the real Obama when the Republican researchers start dredging up his "community activist" days. I've just re-read "Radical Chic" and "Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers" in order to get into the right frame-of-mind.

We should have a contest to decide which Canadian Prime Minister Obama most resembles. I see a touch of Dief, actually.

Very interesting.
What does "incompletely theorized common ground across more comprehensive narratives" mean?

"But I think he recognizes that to advance the interests he is loyal to requires figuring out what other people's loyalties are, "recognize" them and then figure out how to get to the best possible resolution of the bargaining problem they represent."
Indeed, but that does raise the question of what _are_ "the interests he is loyal to"? Other than his own career, of course ...

Close. It's pretentious jargon, but it's political philosophy pretentious jargon.

But, seriously, I do want to know what it means. I think Pithlord has gotten further inside the Democratic frontrunner's head than just about anybody in America, so I look forward to him expanding upon this phrase so I can comprehend it.

"The master discourse though is narrative negotiation, not procedural justice."
Do you consider narrative negotiation to be feminine, and procedural justice to be masculine? (In essence, I mean.)

That kind of thing isn't really my bag, but sure.
