I've not seen one of those in this country before.

Straw and matting round ours again. But I think even if the material above ground gets frosted it will just grow from the crown under the soil. Lots of people cut theres off at ground level and just protect the stump. The wind damage to ours last year when it broke off half way down but regrew has made a lot more confident.

Also I've got six little-ish babies spaded off growing on in the greenhouse if the worst comes to the worst!
