The wine Twitterati have certainly embraced Twitter in droves. Naturally, nothing is as good as face-to-face communication, but I see Twitter as a very good way to not only establish relationships surrounding those things we like to do and enjoy, but also deepen those relationships in a way that no other online technology has yet to do.

I'm glad to also see a number of my fellow hikers developing a community on Twitter too.
