I went back to take a closer look at Meaghan's article. Damned if I can find anything in the links that would give a reasonable person concern. Most of the links were either to Monte Solberg or to Kate.
There was nothing libellous whatsoever about this post, nor does one put oneself in peril by linking to it.
Marcie, you're obviously a nice person, but you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. Kate should be apologizing to you. But don't hold your breath.
This is one of the things that bothers me about Canadian blogs. You are only writing this post for the benefit of other bloggers. There are far too many blog posts on Canadian blogs in general that are essentially squabbling and in-fighting which AFAIC (as just a humble reader of blogs) I couldn't care less about.

As a regular reader of Kate's, I came here to see what all the fuss was about. While I don't fully understand what happened (following all the links got confusing), one thing I do know is that apologies are too frequently left unrecognized by "the other side". So, please accept this SDA reader's observation that you were very gracious and forthright in offering an apology - something that is all too rare nowadays. Thanks for being willing to disagree - and to do so thoughtfully and politely. Keep up the blogging!

Marcie, I'm a regular SDA reader and I disagree with probably everything you believe in, but that's a real decent apology you've posted! Good on ya! You've got class! (Not upper-class, which the NDP doesn't support of course, but whatever types of class the Dippers do support!) 
A first class apology is the mark of a first class person. Nice to see something that is all too rare.
You seem to be among the 5% or so of people who apologize publicly and actually mean it. I don't usually agree with your views but I'll be sure to remember this show of humility - whether Kate deserved it or not. Good on ya.
Marcie, regular SDA reader here who'd like to thank you for both the grace and class you displayed in this post. Despite my disagreement with almost everything the NDP stands for, I would like to say that you are a credit to the human race.
I don't know anything about Marcie. Looking at her blogroll, I don't think we have anything in common politically.
That being said, it is a classy thing to admit an error and make a public apology to Kate. It takes a big person to do that.
Nice to see that not all progressive liberals are raging hatemongers like MWW.
It amazes me how some (Dr. Dawg) stick up for MWW even though they must know that she created a site called smalldeadanimals.blogspot full of photoshopped pics of Kate with a Hitler mustache--not to mention of the months and months of MWW "stalking" Kate. It seems that ideology is everything to some people.

When Kate takes down the Greyowl picture, and retracts her call for Residential Schools for Indian Children, as well as retracts her call for "Canada needs institutions to lock up the Indian Activists and apologists" who say things that Kate doesn't like -- I will in a heartbeat remove ALL of the Kate photoshop pictures with the hitler mustache and the Fascists R Us t-shirt.
The GreyOwl and the the Iraqi Prison Torture Photoshop "funny" that Kate posted sat for MONTHS on her website before I did the photoshops of Kate in Hitler regalia.
The ball is in her court on this. I am totally prepared to de-escalate the sitation.
But Kate has not once been willing to do so. She has absolutley refused to acknowledge that ANYTHING she has said or done - including the comment made on her blog last year attempting to infer some sort of impropriety with my son, was way way out of line.
I am perfectly willing to admit that my behaviour has been outrageous. My outrageous behavious has been in direct proportion to the outrageous actions directed at myself and my family by Kate McMillan.
Believe it or not, there have been some blogging tories who have investigated the situation in it's entirety and they fully understand why it is that I am outraged by this woman's behaviour.

That's ridiculous.
Kate has been inciting harrasment of me for months. She has been urging people to call my family, including my husband... --- See Ian's letter about it. No worries... after what she did to Belinda Stronach, and the recent events surrounding that Liberal guy where she posted the home address and contact info and again incited harrasment... I'm documenting a case, where I will be able to get a restraining order against her in short order.

As a frequent SDA reader I am also impressed with the apology thing. Hey, I've even read some of your Roundtable stuff and even if I disagree, I think your writing isn't too bad for a blogger. Keep it up.
BTW, I hope you never get influenced by the other Lefties like dr Dawg and MWW. They never seem to be able to have a discussion or debate without throwing out slurs, accusations and a whole bunch of crap. I, for one, enjoy a good debate without having to resort to name calling.

Now if Kate would like to explain her actions in regards to residential schools, we can actually debate the issues.
No slurs or crap thowing, just explain why she said what she said and why she tried to have it removed from her blog. There are quite afew righties that would like to know as well.
And why she feels it nescesary to enforce censorship and prior restraint on a third party to cover up her malfeasance.
