What a stunning post! I love your fiddleheads - they are the nicest ones I've seen and I like the idea of KSH for the lining. The sewing is also fabulous - I might have a go at it myself.
I am also a blogger whose life gets in the way - its really hard to find time but I love your posts and I reckon your daily life posts would be fab as well. The brain module sounds amazing, if not a bit scary - have you read Saturday about Ian McEwan?

Actually your rendition of daily life in the hospital is interesting. It would be hard to imagine it if you were not in there treating all the odd and rare diseases!
Did you notice your fiddleheads and your spiderwebs all sort have similar colours? both are lovely. i have the pattern but haven't knit that yet. am currently working on my spiderweb quilt in blue shades!
Till then,

I decided this year that I was going to write about whatever tickled my fancy. I will write about what is interesting to me, and not necessarily to everyone else. It keeps me writing so it has worked so far.
All your fab projects! You have been very busy. I do think my fav are those mittens. I love how they are lined. And your quilt. Love those fabrics.

What an inspiring bunch of projects! I adore the fiddlehead mittens in those colors, and the KSH liner is genius.

I'm so intimidated by mittens, but you make it look like non-stressy fun...I know I should just go for it. Yours are lovely, and the socks for hubby are sweet.
I dig your posts on daily comings and goings - I have the same issue with life getting in the way, and hope my blogfriends don't go running away after I'm MIA for long stretches...

log cabin socks? totally good idea. have you had log cabin maple syrup? if so, you'd know that the sight of those cozy socks just makes me want to eat lots of pancakes with lots of syrup!

Wow, are you at Queen's Square?
It's funny reading your account of being a medical student. I don't feel like that at all (although I am typing this while waiting for a teaching session with my consultant). I wonder if that's the difference between us, or between UCH and The Whitt? I can't believe it's our last day here tomorrow; I am really going to miss it!
Your productivity and organisation never fail to awe me. Those mittens are amazing!! Hope you're getting some good wear out of them.

It may have been a little while since you posted, but you had so many beautiful projects to show. I love the socks you knitted for your husband, they are lovely. The colors of the mitt and its liner remind me of older botanical prints, I love those colors.
