Teacher's Day went by quietly without a mention from anyone at my school. Not one note from a parent or administration.
Teacher Appreciation Day was actually quite nice this school year. My local does give out the chintzy gifts, but we also have a nice get together at a local restaurant where a nice selection of appetizers are served. This year about a 1/3rd of our teachers showed up for this get together.
Our school PTA got each of the teachers a $10 gift card for Starbucks, a nice lapel pin of our mascot and a post-it note holder/dispenser. Our district administrators sent two cakes to each of the schools in our district on Friday.
Some years it seems we are hardly acknowledged, but this year it was much different.

Donna, Honestly I am not sure. I musta clicked on something for that to happen. I am not too tech savvy.
Best advice I could offer is to: a. surf around on the place where you can do stuff to your blog or b. ask someone with a high level of tech savvy. Good Luck with it.
Not a mention of Teacher Appreciation day at our school--not even an email from admin. I was kind of cheesed off about it, actually.
