I realize this post is old; however, I'm interested if you had any luck finding interventions for SS. I teach 7th grade in so.CA. Our principal has instituted 20 minute 'intervention' periods twice a week. Enligh and math teachers seem to really make use of this time, but I really have no clue what to do. If I knew how to teach a history concept better, I would have done it that way the 1st time. I usually resort to doing some sort of vocab. activity, but that approach is getting rather old. Any suggestions?
