It bugs me a little that faith is reflexively seen as a religious thing. I think faith is an enormously important component of life and we do so much on the basis of faith that pretending otherwise seems like folly. As indicatate it only bugs me a little and I'll try not to let it distract from the core message being presented which I essentially agree with. Humour (like faith) is an ingredient for good living and we should celebrate the many ironies that life offers up.

I don't disagree. We all need faith. But the message from Condell is that we need private faith not state-mandated respect.
Out of a mixture of fear, guilt, or a desperation to appear to be 'culturally sensitive', we have elevated religion to a status not seen since the pre-Copernicus, Galileo, Newton Reformation days.
For all those of us who prefer science and reason to superstition and myths, this is truly concerning.

I remember seeing one of his vlogs before and thought he was a bit of an ass, but this one is spot on I think.
I never heard of him before but I like this.
Actually when I offered my first comment I was viewing this article on my mobile phone and I did not see that there was a video included. As such I was commenting on the heading and the quote not the video.
Having now seen the video my original comment still applies although I can see that the video offers more context. I think the speaker was pretty much spot on in what he was objecting to.
