Your deck chair looks so lovely! Perhaps this would be a good summer allotment project. Thank you so much for the link.
And I loved Miss Buncle's Book. The Priory is still on my to-read list. Good deck chair reading?

I adore the fabric on your deck chair!!! Your Country Living is so much better than ours in the States. And you've totally sold me on reading some classic literature this summer! Contemporary novels lack the gentile spirit and the boundaries of morals that make the older stories so much more interesting. Ooooh, I can't wait to read!!!

Oh, do enjoy that nice weather in your pretty looking deckchair! Just take that time! Over here the weatherforecast is not so good. But I am not complaining, we had a perfect week!

The chair came out so nicely! I love books that run away with your emotions like that. How wonderful to sit in the sun and in your chair and read and read and read.

It's so funny that when I read your posts, I read them in an English accent in my head, like the Austen movies. Maybe this is why I enjoy your blog so much. The deck chair is fabu!

Loving, loving the newly refurbished deck chair!! The hot pink looks so bright and summer-y!! I'm imagine you sitting in the sun and sobbing away as you turn the last page of your book. Feels good to have a healthy, refreshing cry once in awhile; doesn't it!!

Highly recommended modern literature (aka: perfect for the desk chair): Marisa De la Rosa (I think)'s linked novels Love Walked In and then Belong to Me. They are funny, touching, warm, well-written and very good--not schmaltzy or devastating. You can trust her as a writer! Highly recommended for your lovely new chair!

What fabulous fabric. Just wondering if you managed to sit in your deckchair. I went to London to see my older kids and got wet and froze - hope it was better in Wales?

It's a wonderfull blog! Have found it via moonstitches. A lot of inspiration and great ideas.
I also have one question - I'd like to order a couple of craft books via japanese amazon.com site... Do you have any experience with it? (cause I've seen yu've made some projects from Japanese books) Is it realible, how fast do you actually get your order. I live in Belgium and I can't read Japanese, so unfortunatelly I don't understand the half of what it's written there...Anyway, if you have any ideas/tips for me they are always wellcome Thanks in advance.

This looks and sounds like time well spent.
I must get my hands on The Priory, thanks for the tip. I love to weep when reading (or watching a movie). I think it's extremely refreshing being that much caught in a book, makes you forget about everything that is to worry about.
