It's perfect! I made one for my son who could not get over the wooliness of the yarn. It sits unworn in my dresser. I'm glad yours is getting some wear.

It's easy to see how that could quickly become someone's favorite sweater. How nice that he appreciates your knitting.

Oh, how I love knitting the Weasley Sweater! I have made two now for my grandson and he has not yet reached age two! I'll have to check with his mama, as he may need a third one by Christmas!

i thought it looked like the rowan denim yarn.... which also is a bit scratchy until washed.
(love the t.a. story!)

It looks great. I started one for my son a few years ago now but then he decided he wouldnt want to wear it so I stopped knitting it and never ended up doing one. I really should do one for my nephew as he loves reading those books.

That is a lovely sweater. I am making a navy one for Inigo but, that particular one slipped my mind...I wish it hadn't!

How does it happen? One minute their clothes cutely swathe, next minute ankles and wrists start looking abandoned. Just wait until you first notice hairy legs and toes - whoa - that IS a moment!!!!!!!

I have a lovely maroon one with an orange "N". . . (sounds weird but works nicely) made it for my younger son who wore it for two years and then promptly outgrew it. No N kids in my family or friend rings. . . What to do?

I'm thinking that a cloak of invisibility should be next ... or maybe you have already made one but it is difficult to photograph?
