The publication Pacific Area Update recently had an article on how the postal service protects whistleblowers. NOT! This employee is a good example of how workers ARE NOT protected from management abuses. I remember in the old Post Office Department when management wanted to get rid of someone, they would "gang up" on the victim and harrass him until he tendered his resignation.


If Willie Brown was a white male under the age of 40, he would not havd had a prayer, let alone even be allowed to file a complaint.

Unless a person is in the EEO protected class, management can do anything they want without recourse or even having to explain why they are harassing an employee. It is unfortunate that the USPS has so many thug mentality type of managers.

What happened to treat others as you would want to be treated? The written policy with the USPS is to treat EVERYONE with DIGNITY and RESPECT, which is not followed nor enforced. Sure, some managers treat their snitches and social friends appropriately, but if an employee is not within those groups, look out.


I know what you mean. There are good stations and good managers, but the average station is a cesspool. We used to have a "thug" type station manager. He got away with it for more than twenty years but he was finally fired for sexual harassment. To call this guy a Neanderthal would be unfair to Neanderthals.


I watched one very short supervisor, "Shortie", bully a man who was more than 6 feet 4, simply because Shortie hated tall men. Shortie would enlist other supervisors for his campaigns.

The station would have a "thug fest" every Monday after Shortie had a weekend where he didn't get some.

I agree that you really neede to be in an EEO "protected class" to defend yourself.


$500,000 dollars down the drain and we get in trouble for going over 5 minutes on our lunch because they say were wasting money, thats postal management for ya!

I believe the little man syndrome is referred to as the "Napoleon Complex." Napoleon Complex is a colloquial term used to describe a type of inferiority complex suffered by people who are short. The term is also used more generally to describe people who are driven by a perceived handicap to overcompensate in other aspects of their lives.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of USPS managers who suffer this complex, and some aren't even short in stature, they are just short on intelligence and common sense.


This person got a "gift". Another slug comes back to give us a good name!!


This is the best news that I have read in a long time. This only shows that all workers must be on the alert, for the DTUPIDITY that the ASSHOLE boss will do. Write it down & use it against them when the time comes, and afterwards, see how they re-act. All they need is a taste of their medicine, and I wonder how the shoe will fit them. These know it alls truly KNOW NOTHING and I mean NOTHING. this is one of many things that is wrong with the postal service.
