Gravatar I'm coming out, coming out, so you better get this party started...I love being called out, makes the internets ever so much fun. Thanks for the push, Jon.

Gravatar Sheesh. I was hoping to get my taxes done this weekend, maybe have a little BBQ... You are freakin' relentless.

Gravatar Jim, excellent! Brian, you have two months... no sweat.

Gravatar Game on!

I'm, cryptically enough, "Dnorman" on Wikipedia.

Gravatar D'Arcy, excellent. I've added you to the list. (Though it might be worth constructing a proper WikiProject, why not?)

Gravatar Wow--there's a challenge and a half! Please note I have a number of anonymous edits on the WPDIA. That said, there mostly on rock groups.... Yes, game on. Let's see what happens. Thanks for the push!

Gravatar I echo what my cohorts have said about being called out! And you're so right about us rolling our sleeves up and contributing positively, actively to Wikipedia.

I'm there...sixty days...this crowd...great idea. I'm honored to be included. Many thanks.

Gravatar Grand! The ball is beginning to roll... Gardner and Barbara, you should either send me your Wikipedia usernames or (better still) add yourselves to the list.

Gravatar Now you also have a WikiProject page.

Gravatar That's the point, many people who advocate having students contribute to wikipedia haven't tried to seriously contribute to it yet. The edtech-related pages are just awful:

You did a great job in your class, but how transferable is that experience? Would have worked anywhere near as well without the wikipedia cabal helping you out?

I really liked your article comparing the experience of your class versus another (class on global economics) where most of the articles students contributed were deleted:

I would recommend instructors try eduzendium on citizendium rather than wikipedia, although it is by no means a success at this point either.

But I think you hit the nail on the head, it does take a lot of work on the part of the instructor to make this work with wikipedia, and you really have to know the culture there if you are going to bring your students down that rabbit hole.
