Interesting - perhaps I should assign each person a blog. I've got a class reading Facundo and contextualized it with a lot of things; today they said: "I see the duel of civilization and barbarism, modern and primitive, *everywhere* now!"

i've been trying to encourage the use of blogs and wikis at the US Army Command & General Staff College for a year now, with mixed success. the wiki is becoming a way to conduct group wide literature reviews on a complex subject (Army change management, while the blogs have been a way to conduct deeper, focused, threaded discussions on specific topics in a way that that encourages exploration outside the boundaries of a the classroom. i admire how vulnerable you became to your students, modelling the spirit of inquiry and risk.
