Ironically nekkid blogging day happens to also fall on the same day nominated for the Melbourne Bloggers Grog-Blogging Day.... Bloggers getting together drinking large amounts of alcohol - now throw in the mix being nekkid..... Oh the posts the next day!

Oh, and apparently, all my blogger friends do it in the buff most of the time so this is not a novelty to them. It is to me and so I WILL be very very nekkid.

As a favour to the world, I'm fully clothed.
I know that there's nothing to be ashamed about being Intersexed, but until I've undergone various therapies and natural changes that will make me look approximately normal, I'd rather not.
Expect to hear a lot more from people like me in the next 2 decades. We've been concealed for too long. We make up 1 in 50 of the population, yes, one in 50. But many of us are so mildly affected, only a chromosome test will reveal it, most of us never know.
Only 1 in a thousand don't look normal. Only 1 in ~30,000 naturally change appearance after birth, and then it's usually at puberty, female to male (5 alpha reductase deficinecy syndrome, for the technically minded). Only 1 in several million (we think) have it happen later in life, male to female, and we have no idea what causes that. There's at least two different mechanisms that can cause it though.
No-one knows, because we've hidden our shame. It's been too dangerous before now not to.
The murder rate amongst transsexuals (a type of Intersex where the brain doesn't match the body) is 17 times the national average in the US, 5 times greater than the next highest "minority group", young black males.
And you know what? 14 months ago, I knew nothing about any of this, either.
But as someone who was always transsexual, (but with no intention of doing anythimg about it), and chromosomally male, to become naturally hormonally female caused me to learn a lot, and very quickly.
Best thing that ever happened to me, but embarressing beyond belief, and the change does not happen overnight, any more than a normal puberty does. I'll be glad when it's over, and just hope that the final result doesn't look too bad.
But not now. Not yet. Maybe never. I'll just have to wait and see.
We're not too worried about it, Zoe. We're pretty accepting as long as folks don't use "lol" when they comment.
