Gravatar Amen!! It is so amazing that each time I read through the Bible I learn something or see something I didn't see before! The more I read, the more I want to read! The more I learn, the more I want to learn! There's no other book I can say that about! :D

Gravatar Hi Candy.
From your post:
"Here are some Scriptures on my mind from the past few days:
"Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words." -Proverbs 23:9"

There is some truth in this, I'm sure. There comes a point where it makes no sense to try to explain things to someone who is not communicating.
But it also makes sense not to judge someone a fool just because that person differs with you or disagrees with you in some areas. That person still may have wisdom that is useful in other areas.
And in the areas of your disagreement, you need to be scrupulous about not deciding too soon that someone is a fool just because that person is not 'tickling your ears' with views that you are comfortable with. You have to be careful that you are not the fool. Maybe neither of you is a fool.

Gravatar How do you figure that Gog and Magog is Russia? I think it far more likely that it would be Iran. Not only are they closer, but they've come out and said they want to wipe Israel off the map.

And I don't think there has been a time in history when Israel was at rest and off it's guard. They've been at war since biblical times. It's going to be a long while before they ever manage to be "unwalled". I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about it.

Gravatar Danielle, I don't think so. I think those are two different battles. Notice that the events after each battle description are quite different from each other. This would indicte two separate incidents.

Gravatar Emily, Iran is the Medes and Persians, and they are in prophecy quite a bit as well, for attacking Israel. Gog won't be the only nation to attack her.

Gravatar Highdesert, the Bible tells us how to discern a fool. First off, one type of fool is the person who doesn't believe in God. For example, Psalms 14:1 tells us that a fool doesn't believe in God.

Fools are also gossipers and backbiters, etc.

Highdesert, the "fools" on my mind when I read the above scripture are those who I've tried to reason with, but no matter what I said, they'd turn around and call me names, or ignore my response, and change the subject.

You can't reason with fools.

For example, I told someone the good news of the Gospel, and that Jesus died to pay for his sins, and that Jesus is the only way. The person's response was - "how dare you condemn me to hell!"

Gravatar Very Exciting times we are living in right now! Yea! I love how you tell it like it is....straight from the word of God, Candy!

Gravatar candy, proverbs23:9 hits my heart somtimes too.

highdesert, i don't beleive it has much to do with judging somone a fool simply because one understands somthing differently.

Often times it's being DESPISED Or persecuted for having a knowledge or for having a standard in some area or standing up for a belief that the foolish can't handle.

Gravatar You know Candy, I think that verse is quite good for me right now.

And I am also enjoying watching Biblical prophecy unfold ....and sad to see a hardening of hearts where it is getting pointless to speak the truth....just like Pharoh with the seven plagues...

Anyhoo, Highdesert, we are INSTRUCTED through the Bible to discern fools and stay far from them. The ENTIRE book of Proverbs speaks to this. If you disagree with the BIBLE that is between you and God, what you are speaking about is a heretical teaching that some churches are sending people to hell with that is based on some new age religions.

As for Candy's comments on Gog and Magog, if you read the prophecies IRAN is mentioned so it could not be God and Magog.

As for Israel being unwalled and unguarded....that would only happen if something like...I don't know...a powerful man of peace did a peace treaty with them that was actually upheld...ring a bell? Candy is right here, as far as I can tell. I am still studying so we will see what I learn...

And I say this sincerly, if any of you THINK she is wrong...SHOW her. Not using one verse picked at random or your feelings. Frankly, this is life and death and sorry, I could care less about how anyone "FEELS" or "THINKS" about God, I want to know WHAT GOD says and I can simply read the Bible for that.

Think she is wrong? PROVE IT!

Many Blessings
Ace

Gravatar For further study into Ezekiel 38, I would encourage you to look into some of the writings of Joel Rosenberg. He has a very interesting and proving to be accurate theories on the War of Gog and Magog. God Bless, Susan

Gravatar I agree with the Gog/Magog analysis you have Candy. I've been watching with interest the cease-fire in that area with Hamas. Many people have forgotten the USSR and its effect on the world. I visited the USSR in the 80's, just before Glasnost, to play a series of violin concerts. I remember the oppressive feel, the KGB "tour guides" that we had to have with us at all times, and the warnings of all the different things we weren't allowed to do or see. The power wielded by that government was all consuming. So many people have such short memories. My husband thinks that the period of openness that Russia had was God getting the Jews out, before things get rolling.

Prior to reading your blog, and several other Christian women's blogs, I hadn't given much thought to the end times or prophesy. Honestly, I hadn't even read much or studied much in my Bible. Now, it's a daily time and I thank God for giving me Christian women to challenge my lukewarmness. Keep up the great work! I'm working on boldness now, and not being scared to shout the Truth. I was so worried about what others would say. Now, I can what God will say to me. How liberating. I personally was one of the fools. I want to be sure I NEVER end up back there again.

Gravatar Ladies, the blessings are amazing for those who "watch" the things going on around them. None are called to "worry" but we are called to watch. Revelation tells us of such blessings. Look for yourselves!
Time is short!
