Ben's passer rating for the year is now 153.6. It is perfect in three out of four components and a bit short only in completion percentage.
The yardage component has an extra 72 yards - ie it would still be perfect even had he had seventy-two yards fewer.
He is over 14 yards per ATTEMPT! This is very good.

Ryan,
Don't you believe that piece in the PFP that shows that height doesn't matter? You continue to harp on how short the WR's are, but your own book says it don't mean crap.

Great game by the Steelers yesterday. Roethlisberger came up just a tiny bit short of having two 158.3 games in a row. Would that have been the first time ever?

Jesse, I don't know if anyone has ever done two in a row, but the peculiarities of the passer rating are such that if Ben starts the next game going 8 for 8, thirty yards and a touchdown, he would be back at 158.3 for the season.

David Carr is punch drunk. He's had to run for his life so often that he now appears to be afraid to stand in the pocket. He feels that he has to hurry every pass which makes for some poor decisions. And the play calling - you want to see what predictable and unimaginative looks like - watch a Texans game.
It's a painful thing to be a Texans fan.

I've never known anyone that understands the QB rating - I'm impressed.

"Otherwise, the Raiders got the better end of that trade."
Otherwise, Mrs. Lincoln had a lovely evening at the theatre.
