Ocho, on ESPN.com:
"Am I coming back? Of course I am," Johnson said while standing in front of his Davie, Fla., home. He had been acting as the editor-in-chief of ESPN The Magazine's second annual Revenge of the Jocks issue. He made the comments on May 23.
"I told my coaches I'm going to California to act, but the truth is I may come back to the Bengals as early as June," Johnson said.
"I may be crazy but I'm not stupid."

Random Thoughts:
Game 5 of the SCF was one of the greatest hockey games I have ever seen.
The Force was with Fleury.
This is going to 7.
One day, I may make a Steelers related post again.
Just sayin'.

In case you're wondering, the great Haloscan scare of 2008 got me to thinking about upgrading the comments. Of course, anything I do has to be so over the top that it requires an enormous time investment with what's sure to be very little payoff. For you and me.
But I'm stubborn like that. I figure things can't get any slower around here, so it's as good a time as any, and worst case, we'll just go back to what's familiar once the internets blowed up.
In the meantime, I'll keep screwing around, and hopefully, something not bad will come of it in a few days, weeks, or months.

If we comment about Ryan commenting about the comments, will we blow a hole in space-time?
Sepulv, you are right that Fluery was out of control good. The Wings must be scratching their heads and other parts wondering what they can do. Babcock bellyaching about the officiating when any questionable calls led to zero goals seems... let's just say, not very leader-like.
Last thing: Noah Herron sure packs a wallop. The fact that that's the closest to Steelers news in a while shows how long and quiet the offseason has been.

I like the new format Ryan...
Slow is not a bad thing - SteelerDawn and I are heading to Vegas tomorrow for a wedding over the weekend...
Which has better odd's? Running into Pacman or J Peezy?

Best odds: tripping over Levi Jones after a J. Peezy sucker punch.

> Game 5 of the SCF was one of the greatest hockey games I have ever seen.
At least Game 5 was one of the greatest games I've ever seen where one team was completely dominated for three straight periods (two, three, and the first overtime) yet still managed to win. The Penguins still aren't playing very well-- they can't make two consecutive clean passes up the ice, and can't clear the puck out of the non-stop shooting gallery that is the Wings' offensive zone.
But in the sport of hockey, that doesn't mean the Penguins can't win. Continued great goaltending and more own-goals, shots bouncing off Osgood's rear end and into the net etc., could get the job done. I'd still rather see better hockey, for the sake of both my eyes and my weakening heart.

That damn SCF game was like the Colts Playoff game in '05. LIghts oout goaltending.

Okay... Any of you other Pens fans out there in HSS Land feel like you did after the 2nd interception and subsequent heart crushing loss of Superbowl XXX? O'Donnell throws the first pick, Zetterburg gets a drifter into the net...Cowher calling for the onside kick, Therrien pulls Fleury and suddenly we're down one... you know the rest. *sigh*

The puck going across the crease with time expiring is an image that will stick for a looong time... now I have a better sense for how Titans fans felt at the end of that SB...
Sepulverizer wrote *sigh* and that pretty much sums up how I feel. This is a lot easier for me to swallow than SB XXX. Scoring that PP goal and the rush at the end meant that we never had to feel like we were watching a losing cause until the horn actually sounded. That and the game being at home made it easier to watch (no "We Want the Cup" crap from Wings fans this time around).
Also, realizing how young Crosby, Fluery, Malkin and Staal are gives so much hope for the future that it is easy to be upbeat. If the cap can be sorted through, this could be the beginning of a great run. There's something to be said for a young team not winning too easily and needing to earn it. Of course, scoring with 35 seconds left in game 5 and winning in triple OT, then scoring two goals in the last two minutes and winning in OT in game 6 and then being the first team since 1942 to come back from 3-1 to win the cup would have meant earning it, too...

The Penguins' loss is easier to take first and foremost because the Red Wings definitively proved themselves to be the better team-- fot now at least. I was not at all convinced of that after Super Bowl XXX...

Yeah, Glenn nailed it for me. It sucks that they lost but it won't gnaw at me because it was clear that the Red Wings were the better team.
Strange as it may seem the heart breaking ending actually makes me feel a lot better. If the Pens had gotten destroyed like they had in the first two games and got knocked out with their tails between their legs, I'd be really down. Instead a (very) young, talented team fought back to the point where the series was in contention again. Even though they lost in the end I feel really optimistic about the future.

I like the new look.
And I can't think of the last three seconds of last night's game without picturing Kevin Dyson stretching for the goal line.
So close, yet so far.
Awesome season, though.
