YES*YES! Oregano has been on our menu for many moons. Check local listings for the program 'Know the Cause'. Brew a grand Nightbonnet: Simmer about half-teaspoon of oregano in a tea infuser, about 10 minutes. Yep....nighttime is optimum for body's physiology to do its repair and construction. Joy2Mornings!

It is really amazing to learn about all of the continual findings about the natural common foods that have been around us for so long, and makes me realize that what you (brainready) said at the end of this article is SO incredibly true: if you eat a wide variety of natural organic foods, you are most likely to get the full range of benefits, both those that are now known and those that will SOON be known as new research like this research about oregano comes out. There are surely amazing qualities in other vegetables, spices, etc. that just have not yet been found and reported on, so it is a certainty that soon we will read some new news about beets or parsley or who knows what.

Best to just eat the wide variety now!

Great article.

After reading your article about oregano, I think I'll add it to my spicy hummus recipe made with tahini, lemon juice, roasted red peppers, minced garlic, garbanzos, cayenne pepper, turmeric, cumin (and now oregano)!

Is there any difference in effect between dried and fresh oregano?

Thank you for the article. I'll be sure to add more of it to my cooking.

With each item you review you seem to indicate they make it onto Brain Ready's list of foods. Do you have a thread with that list posted? I'd like to see the contents so I can go through and check them off.

Thanks.
