Is there any side effect in that?
As turmeric is a food, just like ginger or garlic or other such foods, there are apparently no known side effects to eating turmeric (which is also why it's used in so many foods across so many cultures, and as a coloring in many packaged foods in the US etc.), so no, no known side effects from eating normal amounts of it. Sure, as with any food, if you ate a ton of it that probably wouldn't be good for you

i have just purchsed from my local fruit & vege shop fresh turmeric and oh boy did it turn the teeth, very yellow , but I have increased the use in daily food intake as well as in pickles and relishes . I have a frozen shoulder at about 11 months in and I beleive that the turmeric has helped with the sleep at night, less pain in the sholders and able for a short time to lay on both sides of my body,instead of always on my back.My bowel seems to be in better shape as well, 14 months ago I was operated on for a twisted bowel, and since the operation , have had a little trouble getting to be firm and/or also the trigger to go now,basic knowledge i had previous, when a motion was due. so all in all it is very early days for a firm YES but each day I do feel so much better in myself,so yea I say go turmeric
We have been taking 1/2 tsp of turmeric every morning with water. I certainly have a lot more energy. My husband noticed something today..he cut himself while doing some gardening and he noticed his blood with bright bright red, not the darker red he normally has. Does this mean his blood is also being purified by the turmeric? Is 1/2 tsp enough to take on a regular basis? With thanks..Diana

I used to get severe migraine
headaches. I was hospitalized
for a week, at NYU Medical Center,
for test to determine the source
of the headaches.
I was given shots of demerol to
relieve the pain, it was so severe.
At the health food store,
it was suggested I take tumeric
extract in combination with magnesium.
I did and never have experienced
the dread of another migraine
headache.
Not once, not ever again.
I hv been taking turmeric in hot milk for last 20 years. anti-ageing? its fantastic! Health issues - no colds/coughs for years now. Started taking this to cope with acidity problems at 18yrs of age. 43 now and never had a stomach problem, skin rashes, boils in years!
