I have been using Holosynch for two and a half years now, daily for most of that time, and I have found it very helpful. It assists me to go into what I find to be a beneficial, slightly altered state of consciousness on a regular basis. To speak metaphorically, it feels to me like getting a "brain massage," including the relaxation induced and the experience of the release of toxins from the system (emotional toxins in this case). So, I like it a lot.

Holosync is good - but there are 2 drawbacks that I see:

1) Meditating is about letting go ... getting under your programing. Holosync includes affirmations (that you choose) - in essence it is programming you while you meditate.

2) Holosynce is relatively expensive. You basically buy a new level for $150+ every six months.

There are really good alternatives that are a fraction of the price and deliver deeper levels sooner. Try Jeffrey Thompson "Awakened Mind" and then "Gamma" (i know Gamma is a higher, faster brainwave, but it generates a deeper, lower brainwave. It is common in experienced meditators that focus on compassion)
Or try http://www.themeditationsolution.com/ which uses the exact same levels as Holosync, but without the subliminal stuff. Much more reasonably priced, available as a download.

It's hard to trust any of these guys. Holosynch is run by a first class nut case. The Meditation Solution would seem ok until you see they download their solution. Uh uh. MP3's can handle the binaural sounds. MP3's lose fidelity.
