hey-i was talking to jamie of oh how lovely and she said the meetup is at waterhouse and that you know the manager. the people who own waterhouse used to own matisse and i knew everyone who worked there and some of the people who moved on over to waterhouse. it would be really funny if we knew the same person. so which manager do you know?
Sometimes I like to try to guess how many steps are between our houses. I think it's funny. Alliance is, literally, my corner bakery as well. Yum.
I don't do "Give-Up"s for Lent. Trying to stay the course at the gym and manage my money. Plans for Fat Tuesday?
I know what changes I should be making:
- eat healthier
- work out more
- spend less
- worry less
But will I? Who knows!
I saw a sign at Taco Bell yesterday that they have a special menu for Lent. SERIOUSLY. I have a picture and everything cause that's how I roll.
I used to give up the internet for Lent (though...I'm not Catholic like at all) but I don't think I can do that this year. Maybe I should give up falling in love with internet strangers. Specifically youuuuuuu.
1. Stop being a fatass
2. eat less candy
3. drink more coffee
4. actually commit to a workout program
I don't think I could give up the snooze button, I'm too much of a sleeper. I think I'm going to try and go to the gym more, but that's about all I can think of so far.
i'm not sacrificing anything because i feel it is hypocritical since i gave up on being catholic a long time ago.

LOVE ALLIANCE. that place rocks. and they do have some cute employees (both male and female). but i thought the pancake thing was not actually pancakes, but some sort of polish word/food...or maybe that is another holiday that I have seen them celebrating there.

Not Catholic. Don't do Lent. Try getting married - you'll end up making all kinds of sacrifices (except for, of course, the person you're going to marry). I think my upcoming wedding provides plenty of sacrifices to keep me rolling for the next year!
shanti - i'm betting we do, as i met the crew when they were still at matisse (where i threw an enormous new years party four years ago). danny latino's the manager friend.

nilsa - i hear that. i'm not religious, so i'm not sure why this post happened, but i'll just roll with it.
what a freakin small world. i was there during the glory days when mike, danny's bro, ran the place, then when pete did, who might be at either waterhouse or bluelight now, and i stopped by matisse to visit the once bartenders who are now managers when i was in town and carved my name into the back of the bar. haha. i'm sorry if all of this made me come off as a creep. i'm not...i swear. 
i can handle it! pete's at blue light! i've thrown new years with them for four straight years now they're hosting blogger meetups!
I'm going to go for smoking this lent - I've never done it before because it never would have been any kind of challenge before. So we'll see.
In the meantime, let's all eat an unfortunately large dinner and get hammered tonight! I'm sort of just kidding.

I'm giving up sweets and am going to try and save some money. When I was little I always used to give up Doritos... which sadly was a sacrifice back then, haha.
