Oh god, other people's puppies (much like babies) are so cute. I'm just glad those days are long behind me. I do not miss those sharp little puppy teeth.

Not that you want to hear this, but ... Branner will likely display the same attributes years from now. They're pretty consistent fellas who'll tug at your every emotion forever!

What the heck does "Bark with your purse, sissy?" mean!
Also. Bow chicka bow wow to the mirrored wall indeed. You usually utterly amuse me. Just saying.

Branner is such a cutie. He must get that from his owner.
The mouthy stage is a stage, and when Badass started with it, we withheld affection as punishment. In other words, if we were petting him, and he started biting, we'd correct him and stop petting. It got so bad for awhile that we switched to settling for "easy!" instead of outright no. He eventually learned that we'll tolerate a little light mouthing and nothing more.
Your mirror story reminds me of a hilarious Badass tale. Might post it this afternoon.
As far as the fight for Alpha, a firm, low voice is much more effective than yelling. As for the water bottle, I've never heard of someone training a dog that way, but it sure as hell works on my four cats.

I can't tell if that is the world's biggest couch or the world's tiniest puppy.

You almost just got be blogbusted out at work about 4 times in this post because I was laughing OUT LOUD. Oh Bran. We need a Starfruit. Can he drink beer yet?
The mental image of him running into the mirror with his teeth will walk alongside the memory of him getting body-slammed on Division and both will get through this dreary day that is not quite Friday!!
And that couch shot is a keeper.

He'll get over the chewing thing eventually.
Personally, I'm a fan of tired puppy, or night time puppy. Those exhausted little buggers are just so dang cutielicious!

have you noticed the multiple uses of the word "shark" strewn through your blog? i'm sure you have. i actually bet you try and throw the word shark in wherever you can, and give yourself points each time you do it. and you look in the mirror and you're like...saweeeet. ha ha ha branner is the cutest.

babe, get yourself a bottle of bitter apple spray. when he bites something inappropriate, especially you, open his mouth, spray his tongue, and then say firmly, "NO BITE!"
*Remember, i am a registered vet tech and the proud mother of one very mouthy lab

Branner is SOOOOO adorable! My best guy friend and his wife just got two Vislas and that is one big, gangly, crazy household-- I LOVE them!
Also? Your couch looks comfy.
(And hi! Nice to "meet" you! I bounced over from Damsel...)
