There are certain things I f*cking hate about Chicago. And petty crime is one of them. I mean, we expect the stupid, useless murders and gang-related fighting. But broken windows for what? A sweatshirt? Someone's groceries? A bagged lunch? It's so incredibly stupid.
BTW, we had a series of that kind of damage in my neighborhood. And interestingly enough, it was directly related to a certain construction crew. Tons of broken windows when they were working on a nearby building. And strangely, the windows are now all intact now that the crews are gone. Transient people (of all kinds) generally are not a good thing.
Your going to have to get that poochy a coat. He's going to be chilly when winter comes around again.

Oooh, a phantom broken window. My friend's car got vandalized last week after a raucous happy hour. I'm the one who told her to leave it there, so it's partially my fault. Oops!
