Cob Pile

Its my understanding that order is trying to be restored.
Unneccesary?I dont know.
Over-the-top? Hell yes !

I've never felt strongly about the gun issue one way or another. But no matter how upsetting to you the thought of New Orleans' guns being confiscated is, the owners will be able to replace them. No, not sue for damages or lost property. But replace them, yes. As for the French-language notice, yes, the Germans confiscated everybody guns, or tried to. Not everybody who kept one was a hero, and arguably the resistance there and in most (not all) other countries was brave but ineffective. They were outgunned, outtanked and out-everythinged. Therefore I find this idea one of the weakest supports for gun rights. Stronger is the idea of personal freedom and the right to unrestricted use of personal property.
Yes, this has been infringed in NO with the hurricane. It's a temporary
emergency and the restrictions aren't being extended outside that area, nor
is the disaster being used to justify
the changes you fear.
